Liverpool 0-0 Manchester united

Classic Mourinho perfomance  of defensive organisation and discipline did not allow Liverpool to build the momentum and intensity that has characterised their game this season while our limited attacking ambitions ensured chances were at a premium. Jose picked a powerful athletic side and instructed them to turn the tables on Liverpool ‘s pressing game and it ended in a draw thanks to de Gegea’s two fine second half saves and Valencia ‘s magnificent saving tackle to stop Firmino as he raced in on goal. Ander Herrera was at the heart of United’s smothering gameplan almost operating in the pockets of Coutinho and Firmino in midfield and he was the man of the match, he had the most touches (90) of any United player. We now look forward to our next fixture in the Europa league against Fenerbahce on Thursday 20 October at Old Traford.
